FESPA 2017: a different approach to the pre and post printing workflow

FESPA 2017

At the main event of the year Elitron will showcase a set of value-adding solutions for digital printing providers.

FESPA 2017 has all the conditions to be the event that will shake things up in the digital printing world in the wake of what has already been seen at DRUPA 2016. Digital technologies have risen to maturity, driven by large investments in technology and communication from the top players and by the industry dynamics, to draw increasingly strong interest from the digital printing providers.

In a context where the general statements of innovation are in continuous evolution, Elitron couldn’t miss its innovative drive. The upcoming FESPA 2017 payoff is “Dare to Print Different” and, in accordance with that vision, the solutions that Elitron will showcase during the event, in a large booth of over 200sqm in Hall A1 at Stand D55, will embrace the entire workflow from pre-print to the finishing.

The automation of processes as a driver for a different printer

Digital printing is characterized by many different processes; that leaves plenty of room to automation regarding both single processes and intermediate stages.
HELEVA, a smart feeder of materials for large format digital printers, allows to automate the printers’ loading process, increase overall productivity and improve the quality standards.
The automatic loading with suction cups takes place through the collection of material directly from the pallet from ground level to 1.80 meters of stack height, and it enables the alignment with centering registry of 1, 2, 3 up to 4 sheets at the same time.
To increase the automation of the production cycle, HELEVA can be interfaced with a motorized roller system to handle and position the materials required by the printer.
Since workflow management strategies vary from company to company, HELEVA represents a real source of competitive advantage to achieve a different printing process.

Print-to-cut on large format with performance and cutting-edge solutions.

At FESPA Heleva will be used as smart feeder of the digital cutting system Kombo SDC+ 3.2, launched at last year’s Drupa. Kombo SDC+ 3.2 is characterized by a conveyor working area of 2100 x 3200 mm designed for operating on both large format materials for POP or sign & display, and textiles.

The flexibility of the Kombo SD series is guaranteed by the multi-tool carriage that can be equipped up to 5 tools such as: vibrating blade, 1 and 3kw mill, creasing wheel, kiss cutting blade for vinyl and adhesive materials, V-Cut blade for 45 ° manufacturing, circular blade for fibrous materials and many more.

For non-stop productivity of the cutting department and to maximize the synergy with the smart HELEVA feeder, Kombo SDC + 3.2, or any cutting system with conveyor belt motion, can be interfaced with an automatic conveyor unloading solution synchronized with the cutting table. Perfect for operators who focus their production on both textiles, interior decoration and wrapping but also on rigid supports.

Along with a newly developed digital cutting solution as Kombo SDC + 3.2, the attendees will have the chance to see on display the Kombo TH system. Characterized by double independent beam, an established technology which Elitron masters since 5 years, the Kombo TH ensures a reduction in overall throughput thanks to Twin Cut software which automatically balances workload of each cutting head.

As usual Elitron will feature its solutions with the innovative patented technology Seeker System for the automatic detection of printed images. Thanks to Seeker system the entire working area can be loaded time in and time out thus allowing for reduced operator requirements.

The video projection system, available as an add-on feature, allows to project virtual dies on the material and place the shape wherever the operator wants; thus allowing for fast the prototyping and to recover scrap materials.

To make a difference in an industry such as digital printing, tools and technologies that enable the users to take new roads and experiment with new concepts are essential prerequisites to make these ideas take shape.

Elitron awaits you to accompany you on this exciting adventure!
